What Family Means To Me

Today in Ontario, it is Family Day, which means that all the stores are closed, and everyone has time to spend together with their loved ones.

As usual, our time will be a little “cut and paste”, a little “here and there”, a little “hit and miss”. My husband is working, and the hospital is busy. It seems everyone is out there breaking bones today.

My oldest son is off at the studio recording a demo with his band The Lionyls – think “lion” + “vinyl”.  There is no rest when you want to be a rock star.

And the rest of us are just bumming around, cleaning, cooking, and working out.

While I was putting some stuff away, I came across some old pictures. I thought I’d share a few of my favourites with you in honour of this holiday.

May I present to you “What Family Means To Me…”

For those of you who are new to my blog, my kids are all big now. Sometimes though, I just like to remember their sweet, innocent, non-back-talking little selves LOL…

Too fast! Too fast! My middle girl turned 19 this past Saturday. I’ll have two in their twenties next year. Thank God for old photos.

Soooooo true! I think we are at the same point. Wasn’t it just yesterday when they were three?

Love this! Would love to know where the time goes. If my “baby” doesn’t stop growing, he’s going to top 6′ tomorrow.

Great pics. Love the cats. Makes me wistful for when my son was young. Thanks for sharing your memories.

I was being wistful for when they were younger (and less bull headed) too LOL. JK, but they were much easier to handle when they were little. :)

Visited my big boy at college and it never gets easy to say goodbye. Can’t look at any of HIS little guy pics at the moment. *sniff*

I can imagine. I can only do this since mine are sitting right beside me talking loudly and making farting noises LOL.
